OUTPUT
Selling the Four Outputs of One Tonne of Tyres
Tyres do not just make oil. Oil, char, steel and gas together are what make the numbers work.
Four outputs
{'On a 10 TPD batch line with a 10 t tyre charge': 'about 45% pyrolysis oil, about 38% char / recovered carbon black, about 9% non-condensable gas; steel wire varies with tyre type. The four need not sum to 10 t.'}
Where oil and char go
Pyrolysis oil burns in boilers and kilns, or goes to a distillation unit for a 75–90% diesel-range cut; char becomes rCB, coal blending or steelmaking recarburiser. Steel wire goes to a steel mill or metal recycler.
How the figures are stated
These are brochure figures and move with feed, moisture, climate and endpoint. Equipment cost, running cost and payback are calculated per project and not listed here.
